I know we haven't even cleared Halloween yet but my mind is racing ahead (for once trying to keep up and not being surprised to have no time left to do want I wanted to or what the season seemingly required of me). So, undoubtedly, this year's Christmas season will be different. No multi-family cookie baking sessions, no joint (i.e. face-to-face) Xmas crafting, no mulled wine drop-ins (still hoping for the odd backyard/fire pit get together with some (spiked) warm drinks to stay toasty), no Christmas Carols belted out together in close corners, fewer or no Christmas gatherings.... But I still would love this to be a season of crafting, of making, of sharing, of gifting...

So, how about this? A diy calendar made by women for women?

Here are the rules I had in mind: Make something, something you enjoy making, something you have always wanted to make, something that brings you joy making, something you are willing to make 24 times, or that you can convince your kids to help you with (so really, something small, something doable, up-cycling welcome)...be creative, don't be self-conscious! Make it out of fabric, paper, concrete, wood, glass or, or, or. It could be a poem, a drawing, a card, an origami crane, a spice mix, an ornament, something baked, a dipped candle (no please don't, cause that's my idea ;) ...

Make 24 identical gifts (!) or close enough, and mark them with the number assigned to you. Drop off your 24 wrapped gifts (with your number on each) at my place by November 25th and I will distribute advent calendars to all participants by November 30th. This will be fun. Are you in? Email me at janna.luettmann@gmail.com by November 5th and I will assign you a number!
